Cove Spring Church hosted a Sunday afternoon softball tournament at Elizabeth School each summer for many years. This tourney was accompanied by an ice cream social hosted by the Cove Spring Sunday school classes. People sat under the trees and enjoyed watching the two Cove Spring teams in friendly competition with two teams from the slow pitch league in Troy.
