Elizabeth Township's cemeteries hold many stories that should be told. Here is one we just came upon recently: Eliab Widener was born and raised in Elizabeth Township. He was a First Lieutenant in the 71st Ohio Volunteer Infantry during the Civil War. Sadly, he was killed at the Battle of Nashville on December 16, 1864. He married Ellen Turner 85...
